Hello everyone. This release makes the home page faster and easier to browse, improves how Recall saves articles and social posts, and fixes sharing for books and images. We have also made notebooks easier to use and fixed duplicate cards when sharing from iPhone or iPad.
Improvements and Bugs
A faster home page
- The home page is faster and more responsive, especially with large libraries. Scrolling through cards is smoother, with less waiting when you return from a card.
- Recall keeps your place when you go back, resize the window, or switch between Grid, List, and Table views.
Saving articles and social posts
- LinkedIn articles keep more of the full text and pictures, without unrelated recommended articles.
- Saved Reddit posts include available comments, clearer paragraph breaks, and indented replies. Shared links and posts linked from user profiles can also be saved.
- Articles on X keep their full text and embedded pictures when available.
- Threads links copied from a post's Share menu can now be saved.
- Social videos, including Instagram reels, keep available captions and other content when a transcript is unavailable. Recall explains what is missing.
- Saved articles preserve pictures and spacing between words more reliably. We fixed cases where removing cookie banners or newsletter prompts also removed the article itself.
Sharing books and images
- Shared EPUB books open in the Reader tab with their chapters available. Saving someone else's shared book keeps the original file available to read and download.
- Shared image cards show their pictures and the text read from them in the Reader tab. Saving a shared card keeps its image files in their original order.
Notebooks and AI actions
- The Notebook text limit is consistently 500,000 characters in the app and extension, with warnings for longer pasted or imported content. Existing notebooks above that limit keep their content and remain editable.
- Quoted text keeps its paragraph breaks, links, and indented replies when you import or export Markdown, or copy between the Reader and Notebook tabs.
- You can run AI summaries and actions again for EPUB books, image cards, and notes.
- When you generate a note's summary again, Recall uses your own notes without summarising its previous AI-generated answer.
- New collapsible sections start open, with clearer heading labels, so you can see where to add your notes.
Saving from your phone or tablet
- We fixed a bug that could create duplicate cards when sharing content from an iPhone or iPad.
- If Recall cannot import something you share from another app, it now shows a warning and lists the supported file types.
Chat and signing in
- Unsent messages and attachments are kept more reliably when you switch chats.
- We fixed problems that could interrupt sign-in after an app update or prevent new accounts from opening the payment page when upgrading.
