Hello everyone. This release opens up new kinds of content for your second brain. You can now read, search, and chat with EPUB books, keep a whole set of photos together as one card, and let Recall read the text hidden inside the images in your social posts. We also made search on mobile faster and simpler. Alongside all of that, there is a long list of fixes across chat, imports, exports, and device sync.
EPUB books
- Upload an .epub from Add Content or drop it onto your library, and each book becomes a card you can read, search, and chat with. This brings your books into the same place as your articles, videos, and notes.
- Add one at a time, or upload up to 10 together on Plus and Max. Each file can be up to 20 MB.
Read the images in social posts + Carousel support
- Save a photo post from X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or LinkedIn, and Recall now reads the text inside the images and adds a visual description, so you capture information that lives in a screenshot, infographic, or carousel.
- Carousel images stay in order, each with its own title and extracted text, and LinkedIn carousel support now picks up slides that were previously missed.
- Posts with both images and video keep the image content alongside the extracted video content. Video-only posts continue to use their caption and transcript.
- Please note that the OCR on social posts is only on images and not on videos as yet
Several photos, one card
- Add a set of images without turning every photo into its own card, which is ideal for handwritten notes, whiteboards, and screenshots that belong together. Select several images in Add Content or drag and drop them, and they become one card by default.
- Choose Create separate cards for each image if you want to split them. Recall reads the text and describes each image, keeping everything together in the reader so you can search and chat with the result.
- On iOS and Android you can share one or several photos straight from your phone's share sheet, with the same choice to combine or separate.
- Multiple-image uploads are on Plus and Max, up to 10 at a time. Bulk AI summaries and tags are on Max and follow your AI action settings.
Mobile search improvements
- Search now happens directly in your library, so you can find cards, select several results, and run an action without opening a separate search window.
- Tag and source filters open in bottom sheets with larger controls, and selecting filters no longer keeps bringing up the keyboard.

Improvements
- Better chat searches across topics: when chat searches your library in several ways, it now ranks results against each search and keeps room for those different results, so one search is less likely to crowd out the others.
- Export progress: exporting your knowledge base now shows progress so you can see that a large export is still running.
Chat
- Chat on iPhone and Safari: fixed a crash triggered by typing in chat that could affect all devices.
- Chat messages saving: fixed a cause of answers disappearing or failing to save after chat consulted many sources.
- Chat getting stuck: Recall now retries stalled or empty responses, and a restarted reply cleanly replaces the unfinished part instead of joining a second answer.
Notebooks
- Android notebook controls: the toolbar and slash commands stay visible with Gboard's floating keyboard.
- Notebook drag and drop: the block handle stays aligned after scrolling, and listening to a notebook no longer leaves blocks locked against dragging after a reload.
- Tables from chat: copying a table into a notebook no longer adds extra blank lines inside its cells.
Sync
- Changes reaching your other devices: fixed a sync timing issue that could miss card, note, or tag changes made while another device was syncing, including deleted tags remaining in suggestions.
- Large libraries syncing: fixed failures when syncing a library with large notebooks to a new device.
Saving and imports
- Social saves: failed X and LinkedIn extractions have additional retry and recovery paths.
- Saving after time away: fixed saves failing because your sign-in session needed refreshing after the app had been in the background.
- Obsidian and Markdown imports: a note with invalid YAML metadata no longer stops the rest of a vault import.
- Duplicate summaries: the extension widget no longer inserts a second detailed-summary toggle.
Exports
- Large exports: fixed failures when exporting large libraries to a zip file by streaming the file to avoid out-of-memory issues.
- Markdown exports: quotes and special characters in card titles no longer break exported metadata.
Tags
- Tag navigation: fixed cases where the tag tree appeared blank or the tag picker stopped responding, and long tag names now stay within the filter layout.
Mobile and display
- Mobile layouts: menus stay inside the screen's safe area, and the sign-in footer stays visible when the logout warning appears.
